 To start out, my name is Jesse Hanson.  I was born in Mitchell and raised in Huron, South Dakota. I spent most of my childhood in Huron. After high school I left Huron and moved to the Black Hills. I attended Black Hills State University and graduated in May 2009.

PROFILE
I describe myself as a very motivated, diligent, creative, practical, enthusiastic, attentive to detail, initiator, organized, multi-tasker, honest, reliable, and hard working individual that is always willing to learn.  Working with people in various areas has given me great communication skills.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Public Relations/Marketing- (September 2009- Current) Regional Health, Rapid City, SD 57709. Responsible for writing press releases, writing AP style stories for Intranet and Internet uploading, photography of events, copy writing, research, archiving files and photos, developing financial spreadsheet and promoting services such as CaringBridge.
   
Professional Photographer-(May 2000-Current) Jesse Hanson Photography, Managing personal business, developing website and billing. Weddings, Portraiture, Events and Landscape.

Certified Nursing Assistant/Office Assistant- (April 2006-Current)
David M. Dorsett Regional Senior Care- Regional Health, Spearfish, SD. Assisted residents in fulfilling personal goals and restoring skills to maintain independence for everyday living.  Answered phones. Wrote/edited stories for monthly newsletters. (This job held during college)

Guest Services Representative- (May 2003-August 2006)
Spearfish Canyon Lodge, Spearfish, SD. Worked with customers/guests to check-in/check-out, give information about local area attractions. Gift shop operations such as ordering, unpacking, inventories of merchandise, prepare for major functions such as setting up for weddings, family reunions, retreat and other various events, responsible for training new staff, assisted with inventory control and daily shift balances, entered data entries in customer database for the marketing director.

INTERN/PRODUCTION MANAGER
(Spring 2008) “Jacket Journal” newspaper.  Responsible/accountable for miscellaneous production systems, technology, equipment check-out, schedules, and distribution/circulation of student newspaper on campus and in the community, working in close collaboration with editor, staff and newspaper participants. Advise on overall content and image of the newspaper.  Monitor the in/out process of newsroom computer and photography equipment, and recording devices, etc.

INTERN/TUTOR
(Spring 2009) Alternative Processes. Worked on in depth projects dealing with aesthetic and technical aspects in photography such as Lith Printing, Cyanotype Printing, Van Dyke Printing, Digital Transfers, Gel Transfers, Marble Transfers, Photoshop Alternatives, leading classroom critiques and preparing for a public exhibition of works created.

ORGANIZATIONS
Jacket Investment Club, (2008-2009) promoted direct ownership of securities, practiced a learn by doing investment program, practice investment techniques to prepare for career, create a connection with JIC and local businesses in order to foster mutually beneficial relationships.

Public Relations Student Society of America, (2008-2009) collected ideas and procedures of the profession in meetings, learned the values of maintaining the highest ethical value, and learned the importance of appropriate professional attitude.
