Home- Spearfish, S.D. (Northern Black Hills)I grew up in several areas but most of my life was in Huron, South DakotaDuring the
years of my childhood my parents moved alot. The first town that I
ever lived in after I was born was in Artesian, South Dakota. The
town today is a ghost town. This town has an interesting history of
growth and loss of people. After a few years in Artesian my family
moved to Huron. We lived in town for a few years then moved to a
farm outside of Wolsey which was about 12 miles from Huron. We then moved to a different farm near Hitchcock. We lived
here till the middle of the summer of 1989 when my mom and
step-father divorced. My mom moved my brother, sister and myself
back to Huron. I consider Huron home despite all of the moving that
we did when we were younger. I have been a resident in
Spearfish now for almost 10 years so I consider Spearfish my
permanent home.
